Last week was a rainy one but the rain stopped just in time for us. I’m so happy the skies parted and gave us a chance to go out and capture their engagement photos! These two were super sweet and weren’t afraid to get a little silly and giggly. I love “in between photos” candid moments, so my fav is the third one!

Last week we went out to Jewel Lake off the Wildcat creek trail at Tilden Park in Berkeley for some family photos. Little Cora was not feeling the photo vibe and just wanted to enjoy the nature! Small Bay Area Micro Wedding in San Jose Backyard⎜Catie + Tim
I’ve done quite a few small back yard weddings in the Bay Area now and have been amazed at some of the transformations I’ve seen! This wedding was no different. Between the gorgeous floral archways, water fountain adorned with floating flowers and tables full of food [Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme] you’d never know this wedding was held in a San Jose home. I’m so glad Catie and Tim were able to have their celebration this year. The day was perfect and worked out beautifully! I’m not gonna lie. Amongst everything else going on, these past few months have been heartbreaking for me as a wedding photographer. After a slew of back to back wedding cancellations, it felt good to dust off the cameras and get out and photograph some beautiful smiling faces. Luna and Maggie wanted their engagement photos to include lots of nature. Luckily the Bay Area has some amazing parks with wide open areas! (enough for proper social distancing, of course). Dancing is a big part of their lives so they “practiced” their first dance song atop the beautiful hills in Sibley park while the sun set. Nothing more magical than that 💕.
