Arches National Park Wedding Ceremony in Moab Utah ⎜Julie and George

We are beyond thrilled that Julie and George had us photograph their intimate wedding ceremony in Arches National Park! We also got to be their witnesses! 💕. Small Bay Area Micro Wedding in San Jose Backyard⎜Catie + Tim

I’ve done quite a few small back yard weddings in the Bay Area now and have been amazed at some of the transformations I’ve seen! This wedding was no different. Between the gorgeous floral archways, water fountain adorned with floating flowers and tables full of food [Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme] you’d never know this wedding was held in a San Jose home. I’m so glad Catie and Tim were able to have their celebration this year. The day was perfect and worked out beautifully! Lawrence Hall of Science Wedding │Emily + Andrew

I really love the Lawrence Hall of Science as a wedding venue.  It's one of the coolest Berkeley wedding venues!  

It calls to my inner nerdy scientist, despite how I try to suppress her. To add to that, Emily and Andrew dolled it up with a fair share of super nerdy decor.  I think my favorite is the "nerds" test tube wedding favors (which I used for my ring shot!)  Also, have to mention the lab guest book with a great set of instructions! :P To top that off, the Hall of Science has views of the Bay Area that you can't beat for your wedding ceremony!  Emily and Andrew definitely weren't afraid to get silly for their wedding photos and I lovingly included a lot of those shots in here (you know how much I love the silly)  Please enjoy a small snippet of their beautiful nerdy science wedding!

San Francisco City Hall Wedding⎪Atiyyah and Guy-Marino

Getting married in San Francisco is great and one of the best places to elope is the San Francisco City Hall!  

Atiyyah and Guy-Marino got it right when they decided to have their wedding ceremony in San Francisco City Hall.  It's soooo gorgeous and works really well for a small wedding in the Bay Area.  Working with these two here was such a treat; a beautiful, super sweet couple in a really pretty setting...who could ask for more!?! :D  On top of that their families were incredibly nice.  Please enjoy a small peek into their intimate wedding ceremony followed by portraits around San Francisco City Hall!  Congratulations again to Atiyyah and Guy-Marino!

Small Wedding in Lafayette⎪Alison and Joseph

This intimate backyard wedding in Lafayette was adorable.  

Couples often seem self conscious if their wedding is small or "non-traditional". (Not that these two felt that way, but it just made me think of some of the times this was the case) What they don't know is that I absolutely LOVE small weddings.  There's something extra special about a smaller wedding.  We usually find ourselves having the luxury of time, the overall vibe is calm and laid back, and Geo and I feel more like we're a part of the wedding.  This wedding was no different!  We really really enjoyed capturing and being a part of Alison and Joseph's special day.  Alison's parent's Lafayette yard was beautiful and their families were a joy to be around.  We even stuck around after our time was done and chatted everyone up for a bit!  Congratulations again to Alison and Joseph!  Please enjoy a small sample of their intimate San Francisco backyard wedding!
