The Pearl is an awesome rooftop wedding venue in San Francisco Dogpatch. A gorgeous place for a covid safe ceremony and reception! It was an amazingly sunny day which matched their beautiful colorful flowers! After having to postpone, I’m so happy these two were able to celebrate this year and enjoy the day with their close friends and family. Congratulations Gaelen and Adam! 🥰

Small Bay Area Micro Wedding in San Jose Backyard⎜Catie + Tim

I’ve done quite a few small back yard weddings in the Bay Area now and have been amazed at some of the transformations I’ve seen! This wedding was no different. Between the gorgeous floral archways, water fountain adorned with floating flowers and tables full of food [Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme] you’d never know this wedding was held in a San Jose home. I’m so glad Catie and Tim were able to have their celebration this year. The day was perfect and worked out beautifully! This intimate backyard wedding in Lafayette was adorable.  

Couples often seem self conscious if their wedding is small or "non-traditional". (Not that these two felt that way, but it just made me think of some of the times this was the case) What they don't know is that I absolutely LOVE small weddings.  There's something extra special about a smaller wedding.  We usually find ourselves having the luxury of time, the overall vibe is calm and laid back, and Geo and I feel more like we're a part of the wedding.  This wedding was no different!  We really really enjoyed capturing and being a part of Alison and Joseph's special day.  Alison's parent's Lafayette yard was beautiful and their families were a joy to be around.  We even stuck around after our time was done and chatted everyone up for a bit!  Congratulations again to Alison and Joseph!  Please enjoy a small sample of their intimate San Francisco backyard wedding!
