Kimono Dress Redwoods Engagement Photos at Robert's Regional Park⎜Chi + Kael

The Redwoods are always an awesome setting for engagement photos and Robert’s Regional Park in Oakland is one of my fav locations. I’ll often get photos here with lots of sunset goodness but cloudy weather makes for an equally beautiful lighting situation! I’m so glad Chi and Kael were happy to come out for their engagement session despite the cloudy, slightly chilly weather. I love Chi’s amazing kimono dress-I can’t get over how adorable these two are! 💕 I also love how amazing they were at falling into poses- esp. my most ridiculous ones 😜
Congratulations you two! I cannot wait to photograph your wedding at Hakone Gardens next year!

Engagement Proposal Photoshoot San Jose⎜Surabhi and Romil

When Romil reached out to me to be the photographer for his surprise engagement proposal, I was over the moon to capture these photos!  
He wanted to pop the question to Surabhi next to a bench on the Guadalupe River Trail in San Jose that was super meaningful to them. 
The engagement photos came out beautifully.  The Bay Area is chock full of so many beautiful locations for photos. You don’t always need the best, most popular photography spots, just give me some greenery, a beautiful sunset, happy people and I’ll give you awesome photos!
Romil planned out everything perfectly; sent me detailed maps, photos/videos of the bench area and even shared his location as they were approaching (anyone who knows me knows I’m a super organized person so all that was 👌👌)  While Romil persuaded Surabhi to go for a walk Geo and I “hid in plain sight” near the bench and were primed to swoop in and capture the moment.  
The sun was also perfect and added some amazing flares to the pics! Congratulations Surabhi and Romil!  Thank you for making us a part of this!  Here are some photos from their session 💕

Small Wedding in Lafayette⎪Alison and Joseph

Looking for a small wedding venue in San Francisco? How about someone’s backyard!

This intimate backyard wedding in Lafayette was adorable.  

Couples often seem self conscious if their wedding is small or "non-traditional". (Not that these two felt that way, but it just made me think of some of the times this was the case) What they don't know is that I absolutely LOVE small weddings.  There's something extra special about a smaller wedding.  We usually find ourselves having the luxury of time, the overall vibe is calm and laid back, and Geo and I feel more like we're a part of the wedding.  This wedding was no different!  We really really enjoyed capturing and being a part of Alison and Joseph's special day.  Alison's parent's Lafayette yard was beautiful and their families were a joy to be around.  We even stuck around after our time was done and chatted everyone up for a bit!  Congratulations again to Alison and Joseph!  Please enjoy a small sample of their intimate San Francisco backyard wedding!
